For moments you just stood there, like a rabbit in headlights, staring at the man who had just saved your life. Slowly swinging your bag back over your shoulder you moved your eyes to the arrow perched on the crossbow. The man let out a sigh,
“Well you comin’ or not? I mean if you wanna hang with those guys, be my guest.” He gestured towards the approaching corpses behind you; you turned back and looked towards him. You shook your head as he began to walk off,
“N-no…” You ran to his side as you both walked through the forest in silence, until you tried to start a conversation,
“T-thanks…” You muttered looking towards the dusty ground, kicking it as you walked; he turned to look towards you.
“Whatever, I couldn’t hunt with you screaming like that, you’d attract every walker for miles.” You blushed slightly at how easily you had given up back there. You hummed a response,
“_____ _________.” You whispered shyly as you walked, the corpses that were behind you seemed to had lost interest and began to wander aimlessly.
“You what?” The man asked looking at you.
“My name….I’m _____.” You looked away quickly, you weren’t good with silence.
“Daryl.” He replied. You felt a slight awkwardness between you as you began to look around yet a faint smile fell on your face; there weren’t many of ‘them’ around, not as many as in the city anyway. Then you suddenly remembered your friend and how you left them for dead, shuddering you threw the memory far away into your mind.
“So why are you alone….Daryl?” You asked your voice a bit shaky.
“I’m not; I’m with a group along with my brother. I was hunting until I heard you; I found a great big deer, so now I’m trying to find it before one of those ‘th-” He was cut off by a scream.
“Not another one?!” He yelled turning his heard and running in the direction he had heard the noise,
“W-wait!” You ran after him as you both raced through the forest. Suddenly he slowed as you slammed into his back; he turned and glared at you,
“Watch it!” He hissed pushing away shrubs and branches in his way, you heard the clang and metal and a low growl and then the noise stopped. He went round a corner,
“Son of a-” you struggled over a large branch on your way and stayed behind him as a group of people looked at him crowded around a deer and a zombie.
“That’s my deer.” He glared towards you as you looked down at the floor in slight shame.
“Look at it. All chewed up by this dead, worthless, moron.” He began to kick the headless body as you stood behind a bush, hiding. An older man spoke up,
“Son, that isn’t helping.” Daryl gave a low growl and walked up to him.
“What do you know about it Old man? I’ve been tracking this deer for miles, and then I came across this screaming brat!” He looked towards you as the other man looked at you; you sunk back into the shrubs,
“Sorry…” You muttered. He sighed,
“You think we could drag it back to camp, cut around this bitten bit, and cook up some venison?” One man with black hair put a gun to the back of his head,
“We can’t risk that…” Daryl sighed again,
“That’s a damn shame…well I got some squirrel, about a dozen.” He began to walk off as you noticed the head move it jagged jaws, you gasped and stepped back,
“Oh God…” Another lady said behind everyone else. Her and another lady walked off. Daryl looked at you and back down to the head,
“Come on people, what the hell?” And with that he sent an arrow right through the zombie head.
“It’s gotta be the brain, y’all know nothing?” He walked off as you slowly wandered forward and looked at the deer; you noticed one of the man with the gun look at you.
“Come on…” He said walking towards you,
“You’re not the only newbie here today…”

Our Best And Worst Day (Levi x Reader)
Year 845 (one month before the fall of wall Maria)
Levi paced up and down the hallway. His fists were clenched and his nail bit into the skin of his palm so hard that his hand was soon dripping crimson. Hanji leaned against the wall, next to the door.
"Levi calm down (First) is going to be fine." He usually happy attitude was gone and replaced with a look of determination, strength, and (let's be honest here) a little bit of boredom.
"How can you say that?!" Levi growled through clenched teeth. "I should be in there with-" a faint cry was heard through the door. Levi bolted to the door, but not before Hanji leapt in front of him holding hi

The clock is ticking. It would've been dark, but wax kept dripping. Candles alit set forth a dim glow upon the poker table. Cards scattered. Special Operations Squad prepared to unwind.
Auruo evil-eyes Eld, and Gunther. The dealer is overzealous. Petra leans forward upon the table, smiling. “Are we ready to play?” She chirps. The fireplace gently hisses in the background. Eld drums his fingers against the table, nodding. It's poker night, place bets. Gunther's nostrils flare, he's pumped to win.
They're all huddled as one
